For the duration of the pandemic we will continue to meet virtually for both meetings and stitch ins. Updates will be provided periodically on the website.
Welcome to the Town Clock Stitchers (TCS). Our members gather for a time of friendship, to stitch, to learn, and to share their love of needlework. We enjoy a variety of techniques such as cross stitch, black work, crewel, hardanger, stump work, gold work, and pulled thread embroidery just to name a few. Visit our Gallery to see some of the work our members have completed.
We meet at 6:30pm on the 3rd Tuesday of every month, September through June, at the NS Museum of Natural History on Summer St. Novice or expert, or anywhere in between, you are very welcome to join us.
Chapter meetings may include demonstrations, introductions of both old and new techniques and materials, speakers, presentations, hands-on kits and workshops. Past Programs and Workshops are provided for you to view. We even have some Free Projects for you to enjoy. In addition to our regular meetings we get together twice a month to stitch along with other stitching related events.
TCS is a chapter of the Embroiderers’ Association of Canada (EAC) and our members automatically become members of EAC. EAC publishes a bi-annual embroidery magazine and offers individual and group correspondence courses. Members have access to a national library as well. EAC hosts an annual seminar with National and International teachers. Visit EAC for more information on their programs.
