HISTORY
The Town Clock Stitchers was founded in 1978 originally with the aim of promoting the skill of embroidery at all levels of ability. We have moved on from this and like to encompass all manner of textiles and needlecrafts. Today, TCS is a small but vibrant group of stitchers. Some of us like very traditional needlework; others add a more modern twist to old techniques.
MEETINGS
We hold regular monthly meetings with a program. The program may take the form of presentations, discussions, speakers, or hands on projects designed to introduce new or finishing techniques. We assist and support each other with group projects. We occasionally engage in more formal workshops where we retain the services of a designer/teacher.
MEMBERSHIP
Combined membership of TCS and Embroiderers’ Association of Canada is currently $70 per year. Everyone is offered a 3-month trial membership prior to joining.
